Grand Station at Centerra will apply for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) certification from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).*

- Cutting-edge irrigation system - connected to a local weather station to verify wind, temperature, and precipitation to avoid over-watering and overspray
- 92% of grass areas use native species, requiring water only every 1-2 weeks
- Trees, shrubs, and ornamental grasses drip irrigated to eliminate overspray to roadways or excessive water use and evaporation
Storm drainage
- Master-planned regional systems to maximize efficiency
- Vegetative swales used for run-off; keeps pipes clean
- Increased number of quality ponds to clean water before reaching any lakes or water systems
